In the distant future, mankind is an endangered species. Radiation is ever present and what remains of the old world is now in ruin. Feral animals prowl the landscape, as does cannibals, and other dangers. But there is hope, scattered throughout the land are items that can help you on your way.

Chem (pronounced Kem ) is part of an expedition that sets out to explore the world. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned when Chem finds herself alone after scouting a new area.

Dead Vignette uses a turn based battle system that can be very challenging. You will find weapons at each safehouse as you explore this world. Enjoy cutscenes as you progress through the game. This is a short game that takes approximately one hour to finish.

I cant believe I spelled guard wrong. Don't worry, some enemy encounters can be avoided via secret wall passages - they are kinda hard to see but are noticeable if you know what you are looking for. I'll reduce the amount of beginning attacks in my next game. And you're right the music sucks, but it's because I made it myself and I am not a musician at all (I am an artist). Thank you for reviewing my game.

p.s Chem is pronounced like Kem. It's a short version of chemical

No problem! Hope the feedback was useful.

No worries about the music, it's good that you made an effort! I'm in the opposite boat - I can make a good tune but my art is... well, best left unseen. :P

I played your game as well as much to finished it: https://itch.io/jam/2nd-rpg-maker-gotm-jam

I'm glad you've taken the time to play my game. I'm pretty new to this website, what is this link for? Are you seeking entries?

Yes, and you can submit your game anyway.

Not a bad lil' RPG - but unfortunately in the 4th safehouse I encountered (first with a vending machine) I was unable to exit.

Perhaps that's my fault. I could couldn't find a way to tell people to go back to the ham radio. So if you go back to the ham radio, a cutscene will occur that will "release" you. Sorry for the confusion.

With All thanks and appreciation to the creator of the game!!

Thank you very much for sharing, I loved seeing it in action
